Alas, it's not that simple at this point.

They are using a different circuit to energize that relay, and somehow it is connected to live power when it shouldn't be.

@DEcosse may know the specific mod that was *supposed* to be made to your bike.

Neither of us are there, and as frustrating as it is to have to go 200 miles to the dealer -- they FU'd -- and *they* need to fix it.

A competent person (apparently they don't have one at that dealer) could understand what is supposed to be going on, and quickly determine the errant connection and how to right it.

I would be reluctant to advise specific connections at a distance.

Okay thank you for all of your advice and input unfortunately I don't trust my dealer any further as their technician didn't even tighten my side cover down but they will not cover any third-party repairs so I'm kind of stuck

Other Rocket riders in Ontario ?

I know there are a number of us down here who would go to someone's place to help.

Maybe you have a decent auto (decent, as in, knows his way around modern electrical systems -- the Rocket ain't all that complicated) mechanic much closer to you ?

I could advise asking for the wiring kit from @DEcosse which you should be able to work yourself. The rub, is identifying the power drain, and isolating that.

Perhaps you could be interested in the @DEcosse keyless ignition, which might take care of the problem all by itself.

I would love the decosse system but as a working father of 3 in a ****ty job I can barley afford the bike alone .. The decosse is on my wish list trust me

... @DEcosse may know the specific mod that was *supposed* to be made to your bike ....

I already posted this - check the link from post # 3 of this thread - it has the specific mod information right there - and I also added a diagram in post # 7 that again shows the specific mod that should have been executed.

@Toddyboy - simply inspect the relay and compare the wire colours against that information I provided - I can't say "swap this or that" - just review what you have & if it is NOT like the diagram I posted, then make it so.
