I don't remember how many we did....I used this book click here and fitted in as many passes as I could.

Some are narrow "adventure touring type" some are High Speed type, many varieties...

Here's one with hairpins inside of tunnels........

Got the call I've been waiting for yesterday arfternoon my bike is repaired and looks like new. Thats great I thought Julie and I can go for few days away after boxing day then the BUT came. When the mechanic test rode it he said it has a bad noise in top gear. I think this is the same noise I have been telling them about since the 1000klm service. Someone from their workshop has ridden it 3 times and every time said the noise was just normal backlash as they have a big chunky gear box.Now at least a mechanic has ridden it and noticed something is not right. They will be open next wed again I will be on their door to talk to the mechanic that noticed the noise and see if it is the same . Stewart the service manager said they will pull it apart wed and find problem.

Good and bad news mate. At least you aren't getting it back with an ongoing problem - hopefully not anyway. Sounds like you'll either get that noise fixed or peace of mind. Stay calm and try to enjoy Christmas anyway. And don't forget to put those lenses on!

I was out in the shed looking at the lenses yesterday they still look good. If the noise the mechanic heard is the same as I'm hearing it's hard to explain It's a harshness under load at about 2000 revs in top gear you can feel it through the foot pegs probably more than you can hear it.

Picked my bike up yesterday rode home with that big grin on my face.Looks and rides like new. Stewart the service manager at team moto said he and 2 mechanics rode my bike . They all managed to feel the clunking through the footpegs. When your just cruising along under light acceleration in 2' 3 and 5 gear. They pulled the drive shaft and final drive apart and it was all perfect. Triumph U.K. say it's normal they all do it but only some people notice it. Stewart looked back through records after a mechanic told him they had been through this before. One of the first R3R they sold came back and they had the motor out of it with the gearbox pulled apart couldn't find anything. It's supposed to be more noticable on R3R because footpegs are different. So thats all on record at team moto and with triumph so I'm gunna ride the wheels off it and se what happens

Glad to hear you and your babe are back together again.

As for the noise, ya got the right attitude. Your dealer has assessed it. Records show Triumph have been spoken to about it, now go out and see if you can make it fail.

Enjoy the ride.
