Now THAT makes sense! Looks like it bolts right through the additional holes in the bottom of the frame just aft of the floor boards.

I have one, got from dealer, paid about £80 for it as it had been used.

If you want to use it to get the rear wheek out, I think you will need to take the front wheel out first and lower the forks down to increase the clearence at the back, or put the stand pivot points on a couple of 2x4 timbers.

Thats right me ode it does bolt using the holes in the frame.No mods and a very useful bit of kit.Any engineering shop could make it for you if you cant get one over there.Cant fault it.

A definate "must have" tool - bought mine in 2004 and apart from grinding a bit off the right hand threaded lug, it works a treat and is rock solid.

I can measure up the 5 major component parts and assembly dimensions with pics if there's enough interest...

I received the Anderson stand at the weekend. It is fairly substantial and the bike is stable on it. It was a little fiddly to put in place the first time I used it, but I expect it will be easier when I am used to it. It is very easy to lift the bike by oneself.

My only criticism is that it is painted, not powdercoated and the paint starts coming off it as soon as you start to use it. If it gets bad enough I will probably take it to get powdercoated. It is not expensive.

It doesn't lift the bike very high off the ground, but it has one adjustment that can be made to lift the bike an extra inch higher. I will give that a try at the weekend. It don't know whether that will make it harder to lift, but I will post up when I have given it a try.

Like a centrestand, pushing down at the back of the bike, or putting a jack under the front of the motor will lift the front wheel. The bike seems well balanced on the stand.

I think I will be happy with the stand.

i got one that's either a jack lilly or a copy off ebay here in usa. crude,manual stand but works good to get bike center balanced. using any center mount to remove rear tire ??? i used a ceiling mounted ratchet strap on each fender strut (chrome covers removed) to lift entire rear up w/o removing rear fender. which gives you enuff room to remove tire/wheel. you can then lower bike back to center stand. "sister" straps will hold bevel box/swing arm in place . one man job! i've found that supporting from above allows you to tweak as you go w/ ratchet. just make sure you add extra ceiling joist support . i got plenty of floor jacks--even 4 point bike jack, but if ya 160 scrawny lbs. like me ya gotta figure out lots of "dead-man " tricks ta move stuff around.---john
