No knowledge of this exact case, but lots of little gremlins occur when a small amount of corrosion causes a connection to begin to function as a diode. Pull each of the fuses one at a time and reconnect them. Only takes a second, they are under the seat on the riders left side. If you have aready lifted the tank and know how to depress the little latches on the various plugs you can do those as well, but I for one am too lazy, the mechanic at your dealer will be able to identify the likely guilty plug to try quicker than you can. Then he can install your new speedo, when they get one in stock that has the face plate painted the right color, with the little horizon line going the right way. Is there more than one? Oh yeah!
