Assuming its a real question, remove the bolts from the bag mounts, loosen the clamps, pull them off. A bit of twisting may be required to free them.
Installation of replacements is the reverse.
It doesn't take two people, but you might want to have someone handy available if you're not comfortable doing it yourself.. It's not difficult but it is possible to miss something or scratch the pipes or shields if you aren't careful.. Keep a couple of towels or clean cardboard to put parts on when you are working on them..
You should also go to your dealer and have the TORS tune loaded as soon as you can after getting them installed, it shouldn't hurt anything, but it should be done (if you're nice, the dealer might not charge you.. )You'll be going to Hermes I assume?? I believe they normally charge 1/2hr labor if you don't buy from them.. Take your time and be careful not to "crank down" on any of the fasteners.. If you get in a bind, email me and I can walk you through it..
Remove both bags (two quarter turn fasteners each)
RIGHT SIDE
Remove heat shield from right pipe (one 4mm buttonhead and a 10mm bolt)
Loosen muffler clamp (12mm if I remember well)
While holding the right muffler in your hand, remove the two rear bolts being careful not to loose the metal washers stuck in the rubber grommets. (two bolts and two captive nuts)
Gently remove the muffler by rotating and pulling to the rear.
Remove the nuts from the slot for re-use
Remove the muffler clamp for re-use
Place the muffler on a towel to avoid scratches
Install the muffler clamp on the TORS aligning the pins in a slot
Slide the nuts into the slots on the TORS
Gently slide the muffler onto the pipe being sure it goes in all the way!
Tighten the rear bolts into the captive nuts (this will assure that the pipe is livel)
Tighten the muffler clamp
Reinstall the heat shield
LEFT SIDE
DO NOT REMOVE THE HEAT SHIELD (it's much easier to do when the muffler is removed)
Loosen muffler clamp (12mm bolt)
While holding the muffler in your hand, remove the two rear bolts being careful not to loose the metal washers stuck in the rubber grommets. (two bolts and two captive nuts)
Gently pull OUT to remove the muffler
Remove the nuts from the slot for re-use
Remove the muffler clamp for re-use
Place the muffler on a towel to avoid scratches
Remove the heat shield (two 10mm bolts)
Install the heat shield on the TORS
Slide the nuts into the slots on the TORS (the one without the bend in the pipe) The flange faces up.
Install the muffler clamp on the TORS aligning the pins in a slot
Gently rotate and slide the muffler onto the pipe being sure it goes in all the way to the flange on the pipe!
Tighten the rear bolts into the captive nuts (this will assure that the pipe is livel)
Tighten the muffler clamp
Reinstall the heat shield
Doublecheck all bolts and fasteners, start bike and enjoy new throaty sound of 2300cc!!!
