Turbocharged
Well, thought I'd post this for any ideas that might come to mind. Tried to start both my bikes after almost two months inactivity; we're snowed in around here. Temps have been in the single digits several nights. Both the VTX and the R3 are garaged in non heated buildings. Both are on trickle chargers, Both have had fuel stabilizer added to their respective tanks. VTX: started strongly after only three cranks. Idled smoothly without backfire or uneven firing. The R3 failed to start, backfired, smoke issued from one pipe and repeated cranks...each after 15 seconds pause...failed to ignite the beast. Finally, sounded like one cylinder wanted to fire but failed. Pathetic. Any thoughts? Not too impressed with Triumph reliability at present.
Something in the ignition circuitry? Fuel pump? Ideas?
