Hi all,
I'm having a set of Avon Cobras fitted to my 2009 R3 this coming Friday (12-17). I'm having a dealer do it, but I have a question.
As all Valkyrie owners know (or should know), when you remove the rear wheel of a Valk it is advisable to slightly loosen the four bolts that hold the bevel box to the drive shaft cover / swinging arm, and to torque them up as the last thing you do after replacing the wheel. The reason for this is that, on a Valk at least, it enables the drive shaft splines at the bevel box end to find their 'home' position correctly. If you don't do it serious wear can occur.
Now, I know an R3 isn't a Valk but the drive design is very similar. Does anyone know if the Valk style process is relavent to the R3?
Thanks!
Regards,
