One of the things I hated about the Harley Touring was the Air Shocks bottoming out. Do the Fornales bottom out on rough roads?
No because of the high pressure they do not actually bottom out but sometime the ride is a bit firm :)

I had Fournales on my 2007 Dyna ... never could get them ' just right' .. way better than stock but i just got jack of fiddling around with them.

I can't really fault the Fornales apart from the firmness and yeah I want a bit longer shock and be able to adjust compression AND rebound damping once you had it you allways want it.
To get the fornales which can be lenghtened at a cost of about $300 odd dollars I would not have to add much and get some like yoursif they are fully adjustable thats why I asked if they were adjustable, I was chatting to a bloke up your way who sells them and was very helpfull over the phone, quite possibly your dealer, so which model did you get

Not sure of the model number . I fitted them at the shop i bought them from and ditched the box they came in. There's nothing on the shock that tells you which model it is. They only make one thats suitable for big cruisers as far as i know. Was the bloke you talked to on his way down to Phillip Island ?

I was talking to him a year an a half ago when I was looking to get rid of the orig'ls thats when I was offered the Fornales
according to thier website the sport x is the one for the Rocket but only has rebound adjust while thier hyper x has both I might have to give him a call

The issue with the R3 is very soft springs and no dampening. The bike squats (compressing the springs) and then rapidly rebounds - throwing you up in the air. The front dive issue is almost worse. When you start to really add performance to the R3, the suspension is really out of control.

Yes, the Hagon Nitros are about the best bang for the suspension buck when it comes to the R3. Add a set of custom springs and an emulator to the front, and the R3 really starts to ride and handle like it should.

We have tested too many shock and spring combinations to count. And the above is the best we have found for a reasonable amount of hard earned cash.

Any other options you could recommend other than the Hagons, no doubt they are a good product but the Aussie dealer is not someone i'm willing to deal with. Interested in your thoughts on other rear shocks.... thanks.
