rear shocks, old vs new

I thought you needed more detail on the previous post, so I edited it while you were posting.

Spooky huh?

The wife won't get on the back any more and my hip is giving me stick since my last off, so I've gone for something slightly softer. I've got to lose weight (partly docs orders, partly to improve my quarter mile times) so I've had these built to suit 16st (220lbs). Only 4st to go!!

Plus the 440s had ali ends and black springs, the Hagons have black ends and chrome springs.

I order Hagons 3 weeks ago but they had to build them across the pond partially because I wanted longer shocks and partially because they had no lighter weight units built in the US. Not surprising after reading the height and wieght thread IMFASTTOO started :D

I never thought perdurabo and I would agree on something but

"Yes, originally they were matched, HD440s on the rear. I had the 440s on the back for months before I put the new springs in the front. Replacing the rears were a much bigger improvement than the marginal improvement at the front. Worth doing, but not the MASSIVE improvement at the rear. "

Exactly my experience.

Twostar,

We have more in common than than that which divides us.

Good to see you posting again mate.

I took a look. It took me a while to figure out exactly what I was looking at (too left brain).

If I get your point correctly, you experienced some excessive tire wear at the corners? What am I missing?

Please remember to speak slowly.

Yeah, if we ride 2 wheels that's enough to have a drink over. You know, I've been thinking (here it comes, DUCK!) I'm away from home a while, return and come online and immediately start raising hell with people. ****, I am getting to be an old crank. I'd quit doing that but I figure everyone is entitled to my opinion.

So quit saying stuff to irritate me! I just want to come in and be funny. I promise I'll try.
