Read the tuning threads, now i'm really confused

Ok, i have searched and been reading, not getting much done at work, but i am getting more confused.

I have a 2010 R3 Touring - Ram Air intake - Jardine 3:2:1 right from the manifold back - Power Commander 5 - to my knowledge the secondaries are still in place, the bike has a tune that was done here at Z1 cycles, tuned for economy vs performance (I think i'm doing great if i can hit 200km on one tank, i have no idea if that is good or bad) now if this is an economy tune, then WOW i'm now curious what a performance tune feels like, nothing has been able to beat me yet.

My confusion:
- can i save a map, and place a map to the power commander 5 using the tune ecu software or do i need something specific from power commander?
- do i need some specific cable and if so who do i get it from?, I have an ODBII box from Garmin connected to an ODBII connector on the left side of the bike and it connects to my Garmin GPS by Bluetooth, that I use for my readouts - Air intake temp - RPM - Speedo Kph (bike has the Mph speedo on it) - Coolant Temp - Voltage - would i connect to this connector or one directly on the PC5
- I have run across talk of increasing the RPM range - what is the limit before i risk blowing the engine?
- I have read something about increasing the speed limit to 300 (If Mr. Triumph didn't want me going that fast he wouldn't have made me a bike to go that fast, but he did i would be quite happy taking it to the drag strip)
- Whats with the secondaries, some say with them gone or set to 100% open all the time the throttle is smoother and response is great, some say no change, so which is it? currently i find that throttle is very touchy, with the slightest movement is responds, either speeding up or slowing down. with them fully open would i lose torque on the bottom end, i love the way this thing pulls like a monster, and love the looks on the HD and ****** rocket guys faces as they suddenly are looking at the awesome a$$ end of my bike and can't catch up (at least until i let them) my torque and power seem to be pretty consistent from take off right up
- would it be in my best interest to have the cooling fans come on at 95 vs 103- degrees?

You sound like you have a great set up going now but I understand the desire to tinker. A lot of the settings you want to tinker with can be done via Tune ECU. There is an app that I haven't figured out that you can use on your laptop which is allegedly free or you can download to your smart phone for 12 bucks. You will need a lonelec cable. Many cables exist but the lonelec is what is sworn by here. Get in touch with @HansO here and describe what you have and provide him an email address and he will send you a tune. Be patient because HansO is a busy man but the results will blow your mind. Disconnect the headlight fuse, plug in a battery charger turn the bike on (don't start and don't forget the switch on the handle bar) plug tune ECU on, find and save your current tune. This takes a while and is the reason you hooked up a charger and disconnected the fuse. Once it's done downloading the tune into your device, save it. Hanso may or may not need this tune. Now your stock settings are safe you can play with the settings you wish to play with. I'll add you to a conversation So you can get a better step by step of tune ECU. If you do it this way you won't need you pc5.

I have the tune ecu software in my laptop, and watched multiple videos on it, so with the Lonelec cable and other tunes, do i disconnect the PC5 and remove it? or can i just put the map into the PC5 since it is already wired into the bike

The PCV map is for the PCV only it gets installed in the unit. The PCV is a piggy back unit. The tune ecu map is for the tune in the bikes ecu. Both can be used at the same time in tuning.

this just doesn't get any easier, so if both units, the bikes own ecu and the PCV which one gets used?

I believe the PCv would be redundant unless you have the autotuner with it. In which case, you could get a tune from @HansO to put in the ecu and allow the autotuner to fine tune as you ride.

@HansO could probably advise better and will most likely correct me.

I have been in touch with him, i'm just trying to get a better understanding of how this all works together, carbs were much easier

Ok, i have been looking at the dynojet autotune unit, with the jardine 3:2:1 and i have only found one port an O2 sensor, currently there is a block in it, does anyone happen to know if it is an 18mm or a different size? just wondering if would have to pull the exhaust at some point and weld the bung onto it or can i just screw it into the existing one
