busted mine today lug came off the cable on the motor side (should have put lemon pledge on it)5 dealers later found one who had it in stock had them overnight it $47.00

Reckon I should buy a spare set of clutch and throttle cables to carry with my Lemon Pledge!
I been procrastinating because I intend to change my bars - IF I can find some with enough pullback!

Has anyone used this clutch cable on their Rocket?
Darn spendy and before I drop the hammer, I'd like a little feedback if possible?

I am ordering some parts today for another bike (including a clutch cable) I picked up this week. I am adding a clutch cable for the Rocket just to keep it as a spear.

According to their site, that cable doesn't fit a Rocket. It also says they only have one

Thanks, Amigo! You be indeed correct!
Somehow the 2012 Rocket Roadster filter became turned off on their web site.
I intend to call them Monday as I wish to order +2 inch cables.
Hopefully I shall get the correct ones.

I think ill have another drink, cos it wont help me get it, but I will get drunk....

Go ahead & get drunk but THE ONLY way you would get it is if you just so happened to follow another thread that I won't even mention to understand the true genius of this post by the O/P'r.

This goes back to a thread that was closed but: Hydraulic vs cable clutch either way maintenance is a factor but things break with time and use. I just picked up a 95 Intruder 800 w/ 11K miles on it for short money because the clutch was slipping and the guy that had it did not have the money to fix it. The first thing I did was try to bleed the slave cylinder as this is the easy or simplest place to start. The fluid that came out was black sludge. Obviously this little gem had not been well taken care of. I was able to flush the fluid and the clutch continued to slip, I pulled the side cover off and notice the pressure plate was not returning fully. The slave cylinder was not decompressing fully. I pulled the slave cylinder off to find that it was corroded behind the piston enough to prevent the piston from fully returning to its uncompressed position. I cleaned it and honed the inside of the cylinder and reinstalled and the clutch works wonderfull. A little elbow grease and some solvent and its a fine bike. Needless to say I did the same for the brakes, engine oil and drive shaft. My point is that in a post long ago some folks raved how great hydraulic clutches are compared to mechanical cables. I have seen both fail in the worst times and places. I should have taken before and after pictures but I didn't think of it until I was putting the slave cylinder back together. Personally I prefer a mechanical clutch in a performance bike or car, and a hydraulic clutch on a bigger slower squishy machine.
