Be four or five days riding on a dead flat , dead straight road. The word Nullarbor comes from a Latin word meaning 'no trees' .. the dungeon-like accommodation is the same price of 4 star motel rooms anywhere else .. fuel and food are twice the price of the places at either end of the road. Can't really risk riding at dawn or after dark due to the roos, emus, camels , donkeys, goats, cattle etc .. getting the picture.

Sounds like a plan mate, im in for that , whats your plan on the way down , swag or hotels ? Personally im happy to swag it as long as i can get a hot shower each morning.

From Perth to Adelaide Southern Rail want $900 to carry a bike on a trailer and it has to be attached to a vehicle. Return trip is $1900 - now I know we West Aussies are a touch parochial but there's a clear message in that pricing...'if you ***c off, don't ***cen come back'

I usuall swag it usually just find a river ,throw the swag on the ground .most of the larger fuel stations have good amenities ,showers etc. or stay in tourist parks $40 to$50 a night . If its to cold there's always motels .

Just askin as I still cannot commit yet but are you northerners heading all the way down via inland or down the coast and around the coast in victoria and across the bay via the Sorrento ferry

Nobody has written you off Pete .. we'll see you at Torquay. Like I said if you are not able to ride down please don't let that stop you from coming mate. You have been to every RDU .. you are expected to be there.
