Finally got a chance to do abit of checking and fit up a few new goodies and sorting out mounting the saddle bags to ez brackets, will need plenty of storage as mrs Ozrider is will most likely want to pack everything including the kitchen sink :D:eek:

new addition radiator overflow tank thanks to @Mittzy

Roll on the 14th
Are you going 2up or is Mrs Ozrider taking the Tiger

RDU 16 is going to be the perfect start to 2wks of good times and just a little bit of mayhem ;).

I always thought it was just coincidence that RDU was the weekend before the GP but maybe its all part of someone's cunning plan.:thumbsup:

I've got the minister for war and finance's approval to drop her back to Bris on the Sunday after RDU and do a U turn and head for Phillip Is on the Monday :inlove.

Is anyone else considering the double?
We are carrying on south via the back roads to Sydney and Canberra if the weather is ok for about 10 days

Did you retain the Triumph OEM saddlebag mounts and attach the EZ Brackets to them or just use the EZ Brackets and make new holes in your OEM saddlebags?
@Ishrub My plan is to retain the oem mount.......line up the original bolt mounting holes then cut the tubes so the mount sits against the bag then weld the tubes onto the ez bracket.

Good idea, and would bring them closer to the bike frame and narrow overall width.

I was wondering whether I should try to achieve the four bolt to pannier recommended by EZ but realized that only the top two slotted bolts mounting EZ Bracket to the bike affect secure attachment. I figured if my panniers are securely attached to the steel OEM frames and then to the EZ Bracket using the two top bolts that attach to the EZ Bracket I was not going to achieve any firmer mount to the EZ brackets anyway. I think the main purpose of their four bolt to pannier design is due to the inherent weakness of the material used in various panniers that may be fitted to the EZ Bracket. This is overcome with the steel OEM frame.

This way I keep my OEM accessory Chrome Pannier rail cages that mount to the OEM pannier frames. I probably should get or make some lower brackets to secure the bottom of the OEM pannier frames or Chrome rail cages to the rear peg/muffler mounts to reduce flex with the heavy loads I tend to carry and if I used wing nuts on the attachment to the OEM frames/cages it would still be relatively quick release.

I liked the fact that the oem frame has the bottom support tubes thats why I will try and adapt it... didnt like the idea of hanging it off the side of the bag only

Just two weeks to go before all roads lead to South West Rocks for the Rocket meet up.

I still don't have Friday off so most likely be leaving Saturday for the Saturday afternoon meet up at the Seabreez.

Is anyone else leaving the Brisbane area on the Saturday.
