Radial brake caliper

Yes Warp, I started this project, have the plates cut out but didn't get to finish it.

I still love them front rotors. Wish I could find a set. Must be a special person to get them :)

Really nice with the Ducati legs. I still don't had time to make brackets. But it will happen . First i have to overhaul the calipers to be sure it's working fine a long time.

The conversion was not so easy, but it gave me pleasure because everything was perfect in the end.
The Öhlins fork has the same length as the OEM fork. That for sure, was the reason why I choose this fork. Most USD forks of sports motorcycles are much shorter.
I had to cut the wheel hubs by 1.1 mm on both sides so that the brake discs run in the middle of the Brembo calipers.
The wheel bearings had to be exchanged for new wheel bearings with a diameter of 25 mm instead of 20 mm. Since these wheel bearings are 2 mm narrower than the original wheel bearings, I had to use a spacer with a thickness of 2 mm on both sides. I also had to have a new wheel axle made because the Ducati wheel axle was much too short. And a new spacer for the inner of the wheel hub had to be made as well...
Regards, Georg

I started the revision of the calipers. I cleaned them today in my ultrasonic bubble bath. Ordered the spare parts. New seals and nipples. New stainless pistons. Sintered brake pads. I am waiting for some parts to arrive. Then i will continue. And make some photos as well.

Today i found some time for the revision of the calipers. I taken everything out and cleaned it . Then put everything back in. Bought stainless pistons. Better then chrome steel. Now it's back together and now i need to make a bracket to fit it on my Rocket. That is for later.

The last picture is a special tool you need to open the calipers. You can buy it online at fleebay

I just orded a complete brake system in Italy. Calipers and radial pump from discacciati ,brake discs from brembo. That will do the job. All straight fitment no brackets needed and bigger sizes
