I am the proud owner of a new R3T, what a great bike. It comes with the screen but I am getting some head buffeting. I'm not sure if it's coming directly from the screen or curculating arond me somehow. I've never had a screen before. An old guy said screen should have a slit or gap in them to equalize the pressure behind. Buggered it I know, any suggestions. Maybe it needs bigger deflectors along the front fork.

cheers

Welcome, bluesmanjimbo. So, where the heck is Coffs Harbour?

Can't help you with the "buffeting" problem, though, as I have the Classic Tourer.

The standard screen is too low on the R3T here is what you need...

Bloody great screen, thicker than the original as well. The light smoke tint is also great.

I have a new 100mm (4") over stock size here if that is better for you. I was a bit tall for this one so had to get the 150mm. Give me a ring any time 0295207838.

i get some as well let me explain
I am 6 foot 1 inch tall and wear 1/2 helmet. At hwy speeds I get air that hits right at forehead level and then more air comes up from bottom/sides but its more a circulation than a problem to me on the body as it helps me cool down.
back to the helmet - I had a chance to ride a R3T with the taller windscreen it moves the higher over my head.
Some people has put on clearviews whihc have the vent in the middle, some have made the screen taller, and recurved and the vent.

In the end some were happy some were not.
I am pursuing the taller option but looking for a plexi-glass guy to custom build me one as triumph runs more than i want to spend new.

Try http://www.aussiebiker.com.au/catalog.php?page=3&keyword=triumph&cond=AND, a great screen, for your height the 150mm over standard would be the one, they also make a 200mm over size.

Heading up your way this Friday Blue, off to Currumbin for a week.

Friday night at Nambucca, Saturday night at Ballina Sunday Currumbin. Not on the R3T, have the little woman on board.

If you interested in this screen I have let me know and I will chuck it in the car.

Mate,welcome to the forum.

The buffeting problem....I bought a Windvest for AUD$800 and have never looked back. I sometimes do 180kph sitting upright with my visor half up and no probs....

The whole thing comes off with two bolts and they dont have that bulky look either.
Customer service and freight times are top notch. 8)
