The Rocket started jumping out of gear Sunday. Just happened every now and then. Annoying! Yesterday road it to work. It would jump out of second, fourth and third. Would go into neutral (or false neutral) when shifting 1-2 or 2-1, 3-4 or 4-3, 4-5 or 5-4. Once in gear, I would be driving along nicely, let up on the throttle and it would pop out of gear. Didn't know if I would make it the 10 miles to home or not. I tried all the "shifting tricks" mentioned in the other posts, to no avail.
I am calling the dealer today, to get an appointment for this weekend. 15700 miles on the ticker.

Triumph issued a service bulletin to replace the "Gear Position Sensor" on the R3T. I had an '08 and my dealer replaced the GPS at the same time the tires were replaced under recall. I don't know what specific VIN range was affected, but you might want to check it out.

They did that when they did the tire recall. I wish it were that simple. The bike is currently my only transportation and I hate to be down for too long!

I'm taking mine in for the 20K service next Tuesday. Really disappointing to hear about your tranny. I was under the impression the 08 and later models weren't as susceptible to those problems. Guess I heard wrong.

Why? Because one person is reporting a problem? Not a really statistically significant sample...........

Don't know what's wrong with it yet! I spoke with Performance Cycle in Tucson and will be taking it down there this weekend. Will keep you all posted. Wher do you take yours GPMAZ? And how have they been?

Going to AZSBK for the first time. I used to go to TSS but since they went out of business I need to go elsewhere. Kyle at AZSBK did the dyno run on my bike and was very interested in the mods I'd done. Since they're 15 minutes from home, I'm going to give them a try.

Why What?!?

I said it was disappointing to hear that he had a transmission problem. Should I have said something like 'Ha Ha, glad its you and not me'? Like I said, I thought I'd heard that the 08+ models had changes applied to the transmission. I doubt there are many 08 and later models with 15-20,000 miles. So, I'm not looking for much in the way of statistics yet.

mine has almost 30000 miles on it 08 bought it in 3-09 the only problem i have had was a blown head gasket at bout 9300

Let me know how it goes. I was going to get my bike from them when I bought it, but some things happened and I ended up going down to Tucson instead. They have been really great down there and it makes it worth the extra drive. I want to help keep good dealers in business.
If we ever meet, I'll tell you about my experience with AZSB.
