R3T running rough when not under load

OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHH! SAME HEAR BUT i DON'T HAVE TIME TO ELABORATE. CHECK MY PREVIOUS POSTS. I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING. MORE LATER.

The dealer changed the Throttle Position Sensor but it did not fix the problem. I checked for any pinched or blocked hoses to the MAP Sensor, cleaned, crimped and greased (dielectric) and reseated the coil wires. The problem didn't go away. It turned out to be the GIPro unit I have installed. When I installed the unit (GIPro w/ATRE) I set it to the recommended setting of "3". I have tried the setting of "-" (off) and the problem disappeared. So the unit works fine as a gear indicator but it would seem I can't use it for that power boost.

Unless...

I have removed the secondaries. I understood I could do this, install a Gipro and leave it at that. Maybe not.

Thanks

Good to hear you found the problem.. Gipro wont work correctly with some ECU maps mods.. because of this mine is just an GP indicator now.

I used TuneECU to set my secondaries to 100% open instead of removing them..

IMO setting #3 is only for Play Time on the open road.. in traffic it would be over fueling.. I found #1 was best and #2 was good for showing off

GIPro w/ATRE is junk buy a real tuning aid and get more for your money

Your not the fist that I have heard of having problems with this unit.
Nor will you be the last.

Wow thats the first harsh post Ive seen from you mate..

I have to say mine was really good as an intro to a faster beast also Money can sometimes a problem for some or the lack of it

Even the Big T has its hicups.. as they say nothing in life is perfect

anyway JMHO..

I use Tune boy and have diagnostic abilities to go with it. I do not use the other sofware as they do not do advanced maping. But I hear the cable is 12.00 shiped to
the USA. not sure what the gig pro is but I bet its a lot more

Anyway the last guy I helped with his tuning software it turned out to be the gigpro that was causing the hassle. Which gets amplified when the person your trying to help is 500+ miles away. I guess your right though I should have worded it differently.

I wasn't being picky Warp, I was just surprised because all of your posts are very helpful and you always give many hours of your time with excellent explanations with details in problem solving and I for one thank you for your dedication Sir.

Sorry Dennis but I have to agree with Warpe, I have read posts on this site and others site and the number of times people had to do a reset on the GiPro which caused them problem was enought for me to consider it a total Waste of money it is Junk and unreliable most people and I say most not All people who have them have had to do a reset at some stage if they are honest they will admit it... they are usefull as a gear indicator... if you really need one!!
JMHO take it or leave me I can spend the money on better things it just means waiting and saving up for it.
The cheap solution usally backfires as is this case
