Can anyone tell me if the Touring models have the same problems as the classics and standards? by this I mean....

TPS problems
The ignition switch problems
Paint can rattle in transmission problems
2nd gear problems.

I have been reading about these issues with other models but I am not sure if by the time my 2008 touring came out, Triumph had them resolved or not.
Thanks

They have the same engine, trans and throttle bodies ...
The single headlight is less load on the switch, but folks tend to add more electrical accessories to touring models and that could put you back in the same boat as having dual headlights.

I know they have the same engine, transmission, and throttle bodies
but had Triumph adressed these problems by 2008?

Hallo RKTNMYPKT.

I ride a R3T since 2008 and am in love with it since I saw it and bought it.
I never had TPS problems.
I never had ignition switch problems or paint can rattle or 2nd Gear problems.
The only isseu I had was a recall of the Tires which was convenient to me because it gave me a few new Metzler Tires after 5000 km on the other ones.
I have 20000 km on the clock. never had any problems, never had to pay a lot of Money for repair or extra service.
The only extra Money I paid was for Accesoires which made the Bike even more beautifull. I also did some fine tuning, like triple KN Filters , removing secondairies and another Exhaust and Dyno tuning which finally gave her almost 230 HP.
She goes like the Firebrigade when you want and when you don't want she drives like my Grandma on her Three wheel chair.
It is the nicest Bike I ever had.
She weights almost 400 kilo so you better be a big Boy or else it is better to buy a Harley:D
Anything else you want to know can be found here or else there is somebody who will have the answer.
That's also very nice to know and it's Free.

Greetings from Holland. ( yes, you can find them here as well)

I havent had any issues at all in the 3 years and 25k miles that I have had it for. I'm just trying to determine if there are some known issues that I should be aware of.
I really appreciate you guys taking the time to answer my post:) Ballyono i'd love to talk with you some more on the Mods you have made, thats next on my list.:D

You are welcom. Again, this Forum is the best help you can get on The Rocket.
Just ask what you want to know and the answer will be there.
Good Luck with your Rocket.....!?:)

Bally remember that difference between HP ratings between here and there, you might give some guys false expectations.
