I installed my LED lights this weekend. I put the BAU15s lights in the turn signals, I used a pair of six inch Signal Dynamics strips as a high mount brake light, and a pair of three inch strips mounted on the bar frame. Both are dual intensity, so they are running lights and brake lights.

I had wanted to mount the 6 inch strips on the hard bags, but didn't think about the strips being rigid and flat, where the bags are curved. Oh well, it turned out nicely.

I tied all this together to the Kuryakyn Run Turn Brake module. It also flashes the brake and turn signal lights 3 times when I apply the brakes.

My incentive to light up the rear comes from being hit by a truck that was directly behind me. One light is not enough. It's a relatively inexpensive mod to add a bit of safety / awareness.

I have noticed that cagers do slow down faster when approaching me from behind. I tap the brakes, they flash 3 times. Well worth the money.

Where'd you get the lights.
I'm thinking about putting some on the bar that the saddlebags sit on; probably all the way across except for behind the tag. I just don't want to spend too much on them.
Did you install them yourself? Did you just connect them to the tail light?

Thanks for the info

I was looking at these, http://ledaccentlights.net/store/index. ... cts_id=194
but they are not dual intensity and would only function as break lights... not quiet what I want.
then I saw these, http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/pr ... sp?item=BO and to get a pair would be $80... more than I want to pay.
Then there are these, http://www.rodworx.com/product.php?item=345. not bad, but as big as they are, I don't know how they would mount on the bar that the saddlebags sit on. I'm browsing the hyperlite site now.

Also, I'm planning on getting something to light the front up better.. I found some universal fog lamps at walmart, 55w for under $20, I'm thinking of getting them. But not sure about installing them. The touring has a switch already installed for aux. lights and I want to connect to it, but I'm not much of one for wiring....

****, I sure do ramble....

ok, hyperlites look good, but more than I want to pay.
I'm on a budget here. I've already spent alot more on this bike than I could afford.... Ok, I really couldn't even afford the bike when I got it, still can't....
