Stock 2010 R3T with TORS
My 2010 has the TORS & dealer remapping. I have seen anywhere from 28 to 38 mpg in my two years and over 13,000 miles of riding it. An interesting thing is that lots of "cheap" (not any gasoline fits this category anymore) non major brand gas stations have ethanol added at least to their regular 87 octane fuel. The ethanol has a lower BTU content than does the gasoline and will get you lower mpg. When I got that low of 28 mpg, I wasn't riding hard or anything unusual, so I went to a name brand (Marathon) station for my next fill-up getting the mid-grade 89 octane. My mileages jumped to 32.75 mpg riding in the exact same manner as before. Most of my riding is short distance, so 33 isn't bad at all for an R3T. It did show me there is a significant difference in the content of the fuel we purchase, and that paying a little more can actually be cheaper in the long run with higher mpg.
