Question for the OZ captains

Many years back, probably in the 1990s. My dear old blue haired mum went back to OZ to hang out for a few months to visit the family. During the time she and her little brother were touring about, she stopped at any bike shop they stumbled upon to get me a shirt to drag back to the states.

Was looking at them the other day(rarely wear them) and one is from a joint in Brisbane called Rollies Speed Shop.

Started to Google it to see if they are still around but decided to ask here.

Figured I might get a good story or two out of it.
 
Haven’t been in to Rolies for a while but they are in Newstead, a Brisbane suburb. This area was marketed as the Motorcyle Hub in my day (the 80’s) because of the number of local bike shops. My mate ran his motorcycle workshop in the back of the Brisbane Suzuki dealership just a few doors up from where Rolies is now. It’s all changed these days since bike shops have become more commercial and run by larger businesses like team moto. The privately run bike shops where you knew the owner and there was usually a beer in the fridge out the back are in the minority now. Lots of good memories from sitting around those fridges
 

I have a shop in Christchurch that I go to most Fridays after work for a drink.

But unfortunately I'm the one who supplies the drinks. But what the heck it's a good chance to chew the fat and with the DUI laws now you can only have one and they last a few weeks.
