Why does the 13 inch length give a better ride?
Longer softer travel with the same two stage progressive spring rates they use.
Extra handling benefits too as it sharpens steering response.
They use the same weight rated springs for all the 4 different shock lengths so with shorter ones you are already binding the coils together more tightly and reducing the available travel at the softer springs loads.
Also an 1/2" extra height at rear along with the Bridgestone Exedra Max rear tyre option gives another 1/2 inch to better balance the bike handling.

Thanks for your help guys. I’m onto it. On another note. I’m keen to take bear claw off and fit 3 K&N pods. What is diameter at base and who is the best to purchase off ?

Just google the part numbers and compare prices on eBay.com.au , Amazon.com.au , and Repco, Supercheap Auto etc can stock or order for you too.

62mm OD of Throttle body inlet.

I have a few sets of the big K&N pods requiring bearclaw mod or removal, and a couple of under bearclaw RamAir in the shed here in Canberra new and used.

Many options if you cut or remove bearclaw and also a smaller 2780 (at bottom) version that will fit inside the stock bearclaw.
ALL these versions will easily provide enough air for a tuned stock internals engine to get the max 164 RWHP that I have seen reported on the forum. Remember every dyno is different and the numbers are not strictly comparable between dyno machines brands/models or operators.
E.g. Some biggies K&N RC-3680 (fitted below) or even bigger angled K&N RU-1770
