I was thinking about getting a set of Progressive 440's for my '08 R3T. I was wondering about the size.... Should I go with the 12, or 12.5? And is there that much of a difference? I definitely DO NOT want it any lower than it already is.
Any thoughts?

D: The standard size on a Rocket III is 12.5 and I suppose it is for the Touring model as well but you may have to wait for a Touring model owner to answer for sure. I just bought a set of 440 HD's and I love them.

So if anything, I should go with at least 12.5 or maybe 13... I'm guessing.

How about Progressive 412's 13"? Is there a huge difference? I see there is a big difference in price.

D: I had the 412's for about a year and 1/2. They failed on me and Progressive would not warranty them. Both of the shocks were total failures and they wanted to charge me over $200.00 to fix them. I opted to throw them away and buy the 440's. You might have better luck with them than I did, but I personally can't recommend them.

N1: Do have any other recommendations as far as brands? I am open.... If I am going to pay that much, I figure I had better research it.

D: I really do like the 440's. Another rider, I can't remember who it was stated he really liked the new 430's. Some of the guys are riding Hagon's but I don't know anything about them and also Newr 3 sells Ikon which I believe are made in Australia. Most of the rider's I know are riding 440's either with stock springs or HD's. Also D, the 440's have a limited lifetime warranty.

I have seen some on ebay that are about $100 cheaper than the Progressive website. Anything else I should know before I pull the trigger?
