I live on a dirt road which is pretty muddy right now from the snow melting. I pulled onto the paved street and gave it a bit to much gas not thinking about my rear tire is probably coated in mud and cold. the bikes rear end slid sideways enough that I was probably leaned over at a 45 degree angle.

My left foot hit the pavement pretty hard trying to catch it. I'm almost certain the traction control probably kicked in and cut power to the rear wheel enough for me to bring it back up. Felt like I was on ice when it tried to slide out from under me. That made me take it easy for a bit.

Also, I'm consistantly getting 28 mpg now with the Bt Moto tune, was getting 30 mpg before.

I have that tune as well. I'm trying to make a touring bike out of mine, and the tank size and MPG's are certainly a drawback for that. I guess I'll see how annoying the frequent stops get.

Yea, riding on the freeway you would probably have to get gas every 2 1/2 hours or so. I suppose you may wanna stand for a bit anyway after a few hrs of riding to stretch out some. For as much fun as this bike is, the frequent stops are worth it.

TC and ABS have both saved me a few times. TC - hard out of a corner leaned over when hitting loose gravel - soft slide before kicking in like nothing happened. it would have been a massive highside without…
ABS - locking the front up under severe braking, without ABS I would have been straight down before even registering. It’s impressive how non intrusive and quickly these tools systems kick in

Yea the technology they have these days is pretty impressive. I had the abs save me about 2 weeks after I got the bike. All of a sudden trafic came to a stand still. It allowed me to get all the way over to the curb incase I didn't have enough room but I ended up stopping in time. A normal bike I probably would have locked the rear tire in a panic.
