Polished Stainless Radiator Inserts...

I was over at my buddy's house working on our race car yesterday and discovered he had a sand blaster. I removed the chrome grill and sand blasted it and painted it black. In my opinion, that's the way it should have been all along. I think it looks much better black than chrome.

I'll take some pictures as soon as the insert arrives.

..The average 5 axle tractor trailer pays in the excess of $25,000.00 in taxes every year. A bit more than your pay I imagine...

You imagineOf course I don't shell out that much. But, for the average trucker, a refund of that $25k would be quite stimulating.

Just got mine. Awesome! No need for chrome, this bad boy is highly polished, just like the brake line clamps! Most outstanding packaging. The grape ape package handler couldn't screw it up. thanks Flipper!

update to tdraggers post of 2/16/09. Here is the response I got when asking for an integrated tail light / turn signal for the Rocket III:

Unfortunately probably not any time soon because we do not get many requests for this model. If that changes, we will give it serious consideration. Thanks.

Looks great but it leaves a lot of the radiator subject to flying debris. On my Boss Hoss, my uncovered radiator looked like **** after a few thousand miles and I fittted a stainless mesh screen.

That's why you put it over the stock screen. I have me screen done in black bedliner with one of Flips' Rocket III inserts over it. There's plenty of room for both.
