Here's my setup:

2009 R3 Classic
Tors
Catbox delete
Triumph factory tune for above
K&N underseat filter
GiPro w/ ATRE

After changing the tune from stock to tors/delete, the gipro no longer has the impact it did with stock. Dougl will attest that this is due to the factory map for tors and delete closes the secondaries the same in 4th and 5th as it does in all others gears. So I plan to remove the secondaries. Here's the question - will a 12 minute tune do the trick afterwards? I will not go Tuneboy or TuneECU as they are "over my head". The only option I'm willing to consider is a power commander 5 but I have no local shops anywhere near me (CT) to help if I screw up and I am no mechanic, that's for sure. So I am really hoping the 12 minute tune will compensate for the new found air coming in. Was hoping somebody might know before I do the job.

Thank you in advance for any help.

In my opinion you should seriously consider taking the plunge while removing the secondaries and go with triple filters and a power commander. Why? because I do not believe the 12 min tune can alter the fuel trim enough to make a difference.

Thanks Hellfire. I really appreciate your input. I think I'll make the move to the power commander at the same time but skip the triples unless there is an expert in my area that will accept pay for their help. This bike is my baby and there is no way I want to experiment or learn how to screw it up on my own. Anyone know a good tuning shop in the Connecticut area?

If you are going to remove the secondaries you've done the work to install triples short of installing the PVC filter, and that's easy to do as well.
