Plea for tuning help.

In all seriousness, EVERY customer I have ever had in the US has a problem getting a tune. FFS it is not like the software is even complicated, why???:banghead::banghead::banghead:..

If it's anything like Spain - I know why. Because 95% of the customers would not know the difference between a good and bad tune. And the tuner will just drop in what is out there - not actually "tune".

I have (now) a Dyno guy close. He has come up with all sorts of reasons NOT to even allow the Triumph on the bench. The main one seems to be - it is already modified. It's not the software, Nev. It's a total lack of knowledge on USING it to obtain results.

I have a mate with a Dyno & who knows, but his bench is only rated to 100bhp - he specialises in classic Italian twins.

This is part of the reason I have yet to contact you for some kit. I've even considered just sending the Rocket to you

Anthony,
I have already checked into that and tis a very expensive PITA involving your motor on a slow boat and you coordinating your flight with the slow boat arrival.

Software, coding, programming etc well beyond my capabilities ,but it’s like everything to the younger generation these days,if it’s not available as an app or gives you instant gratification without working for it,no body’s interested.

Yes, I agree, BUT someone that used to frequent this forum has turned me away from the USA builder. Since he has been gone, that company is back in consideration.

To be brutally honest, you would have trouble getting your bike tuned properly if you bought a fuc$ing muffler such is the level of skill oozing out of tuning shops . Ask Paul Bryant. I sort of think I am going to get this guy sorted. Any income I made on the sale is long gone, from my point of view it is a total waste of time, not just for me, but for the customer. It would seem like he has had a competent mechanic install some parts to his motor. Then fit a set of my cams. I have even made them so no skill at all is needed to fit them, just bolt in, no dialling. All good , but it runs like shyte after paying for a dyno tune. The guy has a P Commander on his bike, the EASIEST thing in the world to tune with. Most of these clowns use the Harley SEPST software all day, which is much more complex than PC V or even Tune Ecu/Tune boy, but they still cannot do it. This is not even a tricky build.... If tuning this bike was surfing, we are not asking for them to hang ten, just get the fuc$ing board out of the bag.

This is the most I have posted here for ages, thanks for the suggestions, apologies for not being a positive post.

This is the problem around here.
One would think that with a decent base tune along with the PCV&AT that any bike will run quite satisfactorily, obviously not in the same league as having the bike "Professionally" set up, but wada ya do when a Hardley dyno shop gets 150+ HP from a Rocket and goes "Gee Wow" we don't have to do any thing to this beast !
