OK, played a little more with some positive the timing around idle, and since I felt a slight bog I added some fuel in the areas below. Also added fuel to reduce popping on decel, and TPS reads .590, and throttle shows "0"-same as she was two days ago.

So yet another 12 minute tune is going on as we speak (since it was cold).

I'll see if this has a positive effect...

Rocket III Full power w 105% Speedo correction
Jardines and 3 KN's
PC3 Emulated against 1FH, NOT commited
Bearclaw Mod
TB Idle set to 950 RPM
Fuel Cut 6700 RPM
Timing for idle positive
Fuel +15 at 0% Throttle
Fuel +10 between 1600-2400 rpms 20-40% Thottle
Fuel +5 at 1200 rpms between 20-40% Throttle

It's amazing when you really play with your throttle, and find the flat spots in your curve. It is all in relationship to throttle. Now, I have had my bike dyno tuned, but always felt that she was a little rough in the lower throttle positions/low RPMS.

Tonight, I added 10 points fuel and the bike responded VERY well in the flat spots, and 15 points at 0% for decel-almost all popping is gone.

Now I noticed a really chuggy rough spot at less than 10% throttle at idle up to 2K. I'll add 5 points fuel 600-2000 rpms in TP 1.0 thru 8.0 and see what happens.

I'm also "zeroing" all my timing, b/c the idle is very lopey and I don't like it. Maybe going the wrong way?

Gonna load the map and see what happens...

The O2 sensor is turned off.

The 12 minute tune is basically required whenever you reflash the CPU (loading a TB program), whether it's warm or cold. You can do it for any other reason though, even for climate altitude changes.

I more/less just found this out. As a result my idle is pretty rough and down by about 100 rpms, and lopey.

The problem is the bike needs to be stone cold to kick it into the 12 minute tune (which is really a 20 minute tune for me, b/c I believe the proper countdown is after the first fan comes on, and mine takes a long time to come on, even in 80 degree weather.

The bike still feels chuggy down low, so I'm going to add another +5 points of fuel at 10% TP between 600 and 2000. I think I need to add another +5 acroos the low rpm/TP spectrum, but don't want to make too many changes until I reset the idle tomorrow.

I also added +5 to 0% throttle at 1800 rpms to reduce a few pops in that area. We will see tomorrow

Doesn't the O2 sensor provide input for any adaptions (fuel trim and idle speed control?) So with it turned off there are no adaptions to be made? That is why you have to disable the O2 with a PCIII to keep it from trimming over the PCIII maps? Same idea with disabling it with tuneboy?

There is a ambient baro pressure sensor in the airbox that takes pressure readings prior to start up. Any further adaption to altitude would be done via the O2 sensor. But if it is disabled...

All this is in chapter 11 of the manual....#1 on the 12 minute tune states make sure the engine is cold. This has to be done because otherwise it wouldn't constitute a warm up cycle (the coolant temp needs to rise by X number of degrees). It also explains in detail the adaption process.
