Paul Bryant Viking 3-into-1 header, plus Dain's single muffler = beautiful

Same here header and crossover I can't wait very excited!

I've told him repeatedly, when he makes a quiet one -- I favor the sound of a Gold Wing and I know I go against the grain here -- I'll buy it.

She's a beauty!

@rangerbob56 you asked:

"Just looked at the photos of your R3T; nice! I noticed you installed the @Dain pipe with your stock header pipe, then up graded that. Was there a noticeable difference between the two changes? I was excited to find out about the availability of the Dain pipe, wondering if you were satisfied with just adding that to your stock exhaust header."

There are a number of reasons to go with @Dain 's pipe.

It looks good by itself.

You save a bunch of weight changing from 3-into-2+crossover to 3-into-1 eliminating crossover and one complete side.

It is slightly less restrictive, so if you want to do something in the tune department, it'll help some.

@Dain is a craftsman in the true sense, and does nice work. He is also highly responsive and provides excellent customer service.

His design is simple, and there is much to be said about simple.

It is quite reasonable in the land of mods for the Rocket.

It changes the sound significantly, and I found it too loud for my preference with the stock headers. In the event, the configuration I'm running now with @Paul Bryant 's header for some reason I can't explain works better (sounds better - less harsh).

One caution: before you order, contact @Dain and ask him about the critical measurement for attaching at the rear, then once you understand that, go measure YOUR bike carefully, and give that back to him. He has found differences in measurements and makes the pipes custom order.

This is interesting Paul, I've never found any difference's between the bikes.

I am very surprised you haven't run into this. I have seen the center to center bolts on both the Tour and the Roadster very as much as a quarter inch, and then from the closest bolt to the heat shield very as much as a half an inch. It's very common on these bikes, most consistent are the classics that never changes. It's because of the brackets having slots instead of standard holes. I am just being most thorough to make sure my customers do not have any snags when installing my systems, this makes it much easier for them to install. So I'm just covering all bases to help my customer. Customer service that's what it's all about.
