I have just recently joined r3owners after owning a Rocket for 3 and a half years. I have been riding since circa 1983, I have had various GS Suzuki's, Yamaha's Honda's and still have a Z1300 that I bought in 1990. I have ridden all manner of marques and models, but its my Rocket that has forged a place to the point where the only other bike I want is another one. It makes sense to me, that I got something with half the cylinders of the Z1300 and not quite double the capacity, both bikes being the biggest production bike of their era, where currently the R3 is still rightly king. I have found r3owners a really useful place to get info from experienced Rocketeers. At the suggestion of @Mittzy I have started this thread with the intent of getting other owners to drop by r3owners and say gudday. You don't have to be in SE Qld or even in OZ, but Mittzy's suggestion came out of a thread on how many Rockets were in our region. So I am quite interested to see local R3 riders make their presence felt. Personally I think we have so many R3's here because we are obviously a highly intellingent mob who like a bike tanklike proprtions of torque.
