Opinions on trade...

Although I know this isn't the place to get unbiased opinions, I thought I'd ask anyway. Planning on possibly making a straight trade of my '06 RIII Classic for an '08 Tiger 1050. Info on the Rocket--dual headlight relay, rivco risers, ignition switch relo, sissybar/rack, D&D's with tune, heated grips, fuel gauge, electronic cruise control, summer screen. Rear tire fairly worn. 16K miles.
Info on Tiger--heated grips, panniers & top box, centerstand, new tires, 3 shields (Standard, MRA Vario and ZB touring), risers, gel seat, lowering kit, handguards. Less than 10k miles.
I know about the KBB trade in value difference of about 900 bucks, and I know the torque and power I'd be giving up, and the only 2 things I'm not thrilled with on the Rocket are the engine heat on the legs and the amount of effort required in turns. I know we don't have too many twisties here in SW Florida, but we definitely have the heat. I also know that this is like comparing apples to oranges.
Any opinions, biased or otherwise, would be greatly appreciated before I make this straight up trade.

Make sure you have ridden the (or a) Tiger first. Both are great bikes, go with whatever suits you best at the time.

My brother has a tiger. The riding style is more upright on it verses the rocket. I guess it depends on what you are doing with it. If your just riding to and from work everyday the tiger would be fine. Going on the long haul on a rocket is only rivaled by a gold wing! IMO the rocket is like having a corvette under your legs, and a tiger is well....a tiger. If you want a upright be-bopper...find a used KLR or beamer if you want a little bigger displacement and save some $

$900 dollar difference is that a stock Rocket?, you have quite a few expensive extras on that bike you should strip them off and return the bike to stock then switch bikes and sell the extras to me.

I agree with Benelli, ride what your comfortable with. If you get rid of the Rocket and decide you liked it more, cost of a new bike just went up. Look into a used bike. Triumph America's are a blast to ride around town, plus there is some power.
