Oil drain plug diagram in owners manual do not match bike

Title kind of says it all. 2005 Roadster base unit. The plugs are on the bottom of the "pan" not on side like manual shows.

They updated the oil sump pan in 05 so either yours got changed or it came already with the new pan on it.

Na after looking at them the only reason I can see to change them was ease of production. You will see they have not really updated their manuals. Still show 05 clutch components also. You might want to watch for Ian aka IDK to post he has a PDF of the newer manual which will cover everything until 2010.
