Notorious Ignition Problem?

I bought my Rocket in Plano and they've always done a good job but the 20k service is close to 900 bucks there and RPM in Ft. Worth says the 20k is only 450 bucks so I will be visiting them this go round. He says the difference is because the valves don't have to be adjusted at 20k because they should have been set at 10k. He actually took the time to explain what all has to be done without me even asking. I've heard nothing but good things about them. Gonna give em a shot at it.

You may want to double check that about the valves, When I questioned two different service techs at two different dealers about why my 20k cost so much they both insisted that the valve adjustment was required by Triumph.

Triumph has done some 'interesting' things.

Our seat locks on but is quick and easy to remove, R3T doesn't lock but you need a spanner to lift it. (??)
Our fuel caps lock, R3T doesn't.
Our side tins are bolted on, R3T they can fall off.

What sort of genius thinking decides these things?

need a spanner? 2 allen screws and I lift the solo off. What is a spanner? I have never had a side cover fall off, you have to physicall pull them off

My book said no at 20k but I have to check them at 30k. I plan to check them myself this time as my dealer is bad about leaving bolts and nuts loose. I can't believe these incredible prices I am hearing for service.
