Oh and next time you’re seeing your GP ask for a PSA blood test - prostate cancer took my father unnecessarily.....
Way ahead of you. I've been having my PSA tested for about 20 years now. It normally runs about 1.4 or so. About 15 years ago it suddenly jumped to 6.0. They wanted to biopsy my prostate (google that if you want to read about a good time...NOT). I decided to wait 3 months and get retested. It's been fine ever since. I had had a full body CAT scan with contrast the same day they drew blood for the PSA and I think it messed the test up. That's the downside to PSA testing is you sometimes get false positives.
