After much waiting and anticipation, I finally received it today.
Very light.
Does not limit my vision as much as I thought it would, and when the face piece is up, there is no vision limitation.
Fit's a little loose on me (not unsafe, but looser than my sy-max2), but I have to shake it back and forth to get my ears to fit in right or they will fold over.
According to their sizing chart, I should have bought a large, but I have never found a large helmet that fit, I always get a XL, I have found some XL's that were too small; I just couldn't see getting a Large.
I think if I had bought a large, it would have been too small.
The modular piece comes up easy with one hand, hell, with one finger. Just push the button in with my index finger and push it up, goes right up.
The sunglasses work well, and come down as far as the sunglasses on they sy-max2. There also appears to be room to wear glasses or sunglasses under them as well. I haven't tried yet, but will post later.
There is less padding in this helmet than with others I have looked at, but it's not uncomforitable. Actually, I think it may help let the air in from the vents a little better not having to go through padding. The padding is thin and there are spaces where you can see the air vents. The lack of padding also helps make for a smaller helmet. This one, sitting next to my sy-max2, looks alot smaller. It also seems to weigh a good deal less (I don't have a scale to check)
I only took a short ride today, I will post a good review after I get back from Maggie Valley.
Anyone want to buy a used X-large HJC Sy-max 2 black (worn alot, but in good condition)?
or a X-large HJC IS-33 - flat black (only worn 3 or 4 times)?
I don't need/want them now.
