What did you get ? Year/model. Hopefully one of the MUCH faster RED ones :D

I got a 2008 R3. Color is Claret. Almost red, so it should be pretty fast.

I looked at a new one but I like the peg location of the oler style more than I did the location on the Roadster. The faster color is nice too.

Welcome. Well I hope your Harley friends don't ostricise you for leaving their fold. On the other hand I hope you won't consistently blow them into the weeds as your new bike is wont to do. :D

The average response of most Harley-files as a Rocket goes by has been......:eek:WTF!!

Enjoy the forum.

Welcome aboard! Be glad there are Triumph riders on this forum who use terms like "is wont" and "whilst." :D

Yes, it's CLARET, not RED. I keep telling these guys................. Just make sure you hang on and also watch out for guys on black ones because they're really quite bitter and twisted. ;)

Totally agree on the peg location too. Triumph needs a hit up the back of the head for moving them back - should have gone further forward. Now they've also wrecked the location on the America/Speedy too, which had just about the most perfect riding position on any cruiser, by moving them back a little. :(

The Roadster peg locations are good for us with shorter legs!!!! I rode a 2005 classic and all was ok until i opened her up and struggled to reach the gear shift for the next gear!!:(

Yeah I guess that's right. With the rails on each side you'd think they could come up with a simple way of moving the pegs forward or back to suit different riders. There's an aftermarket set but they don't look great and cost a bomb.

By the way, have you considered a rider's backrest. I bought mine mainly for the highway but found it really handy in stopping me slipping back on the seat under hard acceleration, so I have it on most of the time.
