Go and look in a mirror. It will be last time for a while you'll look like that - prepare yourself for the famous Rocket III silly grin, especially as you'll be riding one of the coolest looking ones.

ok another converted newby

i have been lurking on here for the last month and finally made the plunge on a used r3.it is a 2006 with 7300 miles and still looks new.anyway after a test ride i couldn't resist the urges.sold my goldwing about 6months ago and couldn't stand being without a bike.
grew up racing motocross then after getting married had to go to street riding so have had a vulcan hence the handle then went to harley then to valkyrie and on to goldwing.
looking forward to getting some seat time on the r3,so thanks for this site and i have found it to be very informative,so far.

Welcome to the site vulcan hope you get as much enjoyment out of the big trumpy as the rest of us do.

Picked up the bike up today. Hauled it 300 miles home and then rode it about 75. I can already tell yopu that this bike is going to rack up a lot of miles this season.

It just so happens that the Harley was black and the Rocket is red. So it is true that red motorcycles are faster than black ones.

On a serious note, I was surprised and amazed with the brakes. For an 800 pound bike it handles fantastic.

Been a long day and I'm off to bed but I'm off again tomorrow. Guess what I'm going to be doing.

Now they've also wrecked the location on the America/Speedy too, which had just about the most perfect riding position on any cruiser, by moving them back a little. :(

First, Welcome Pres and Vulcan. I hope you have many miles of smiles.

Now CR3, I've been trying to talk my wife into a new Speedy but when see sits on one, her short legs just flail in the wind. Those pegs are waaayyy too far forward, even on the new ones. The bars, too. We will have to invest in the Hyde kit.
