Hello Baba and welcome from Virginia. The VROD is one of my favorite Harleys. I like the Night rod best. I think it wold make a great second bike.
Hey Boog, Thanks. Yeah... I LOVED my Night Rod!.... I wish I was able to have a second bike. I crashed my rod...hence crossing over to the rocket. :p. However, if I somehow found a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow...perhaps... the night rod will be in my garage again! :D.

Welcome from NJ and that was a nice looking vrod, funny thing when I bought my r3t new in 2013 their was 3 used vrods in the showroom. The dealer said he would give me a great deal on one. Their are lots of mods you can do but you will have to be creative. The dealer cannot void your warranty unless they prove what you did caused the failure. Enjoy your new ride!!!

Thanks Jag! Yeah... there are lots of custom stuff you can do to a harley, but it was also slim pickins' for the vrods... I had to get creative. :p. And good to know about the warranty!

I love motorcycles too much I think. My two previous bikes were a VMAX and an FZ1, both totaled unfortunately. For my alternate bike, I am leaning the opposite way for now and thinking of a two-wheel drive Ural with a sidecar so I can still ride when it snows...

Hey Boog... yeah... I feel depressed when I don't get wind therapy ;). I'm hoping you were ok when you totaled those bikes... Oh, I've seen a couple Urals here around where I live. THey are pretty cool, but I think we still can ride in the snow with 2 wheels too LOL :sneaky:

Welcome from Nevada. You are going to love this bike. Not everyone under the sun offers parts like they do for Harley but most of those who do are members here. We got a real tight community and I haven't even been here that long. Try to calm the purchases until you learn all that's available.

Welcome, Nice Vrod I love the looks of that bike and once I figured out the power curve that engine put a big bug eating grin on my face, problem for me is being vertically challenged the forward controls on that bike and the muscle are, well, I needed blocks on the bottom of my feet to reach the pedals. At least you're already used to a fat 240 on the back it's the only real adjustment most of us need to get used to, you'll also appreciate the 20k valve ck's $550.00 at most shops! that's about 1/2 of what most bikes cost coarse the money you save there will just go to rubber and upgrading the suspension if you're chasing sportbikes thru twisties. These guys know EVERYTHING about the R3 and are quick to help. Enjoy

I had a K&N underseat filter with tors and tune and NEVER wanted for power, I bought mine used and never dyno'd it but I outran a cobra at hwy speed to 135?? when he quit, just sayin' stock for stock the Vrod may cross the finish line a few feet before the R3 but you're just a filter and tune away...

Hey Thanks BigNorm.... OMG... do I need to calm my purchases down. LOL :p.... I'm having to hide the parts or intercept the packages from UPS..... Wifey: "Honey, who was that?".... Me: "Uh, nobody.... the neighbor must have ordered something....:whitstling::p"...

Yeah, I feel the tight community in here and everyone seems to be so willing to help and to offer advice and insight and experience! So awesome!
I just got news my bike is coming in today or tomorrow!!! :D:D:D
