Hey guyz, a couple of simple questions since I did not get an owners manual yet. Dealer is ordering one for me along with a spare key.

Do you check the oil level while the bike is on the kickstand or upright while sitting on it? How do you check the coolant level? Beside the above. and tire pressures, any other pre-ride checks I should be performing?

Thanks!

upright.
Back that stinkin shifter nut off and put some locktite on it before you loose it.
Pop the radiator cap, if it'll hold some, add it.
AT worse it'll run into the catch can.
Juggs has a FREE service manual in his signature line.

The oil has to be warm before you check it, too. Run the bike for a few minutes first.

Check all nuts & bolts, even the ones behind the radiator shrouds. I had an unidentified rattle for 18 months due to one of those!

It's also important to ride it like ya stole it.

Good point, but then I've never stolen a bike. Hearts and the limelight maybe, but never a bike.
