New Rocket III Roadster in Hong Kong

Thanks again for the responses. It is a new 2013 Rocket III Roadster. Hong Kong has a separate legal system than the rest of China, based upon the system when Hong Kong was part of Britain. Because the bike has been imported, it has to be tested first for noise and emisions (just passed) and then for roadworthiness. Being new and from the UK this will hopefully not be a problem. There are only two other Rockets in Hong Kong that I know of. Lots of Speed Triples, Street Triples etc. Best regards.

Still I prefer my rocket.
 
A Diavel would be my second bike, too, if I had the room to store it and if I were 20 years younger.

Richard, I think that the service manual between the 2012 and 2013 model years would be virtually identical!?
 
Responding to Mittzy's question - why retire in Hong Kong? How may pages can I fill?! In brief, it is a safe, exciting city with great work opportunies and wonderful people. We have been here 25+ years and all our children grew up here. There are many islands and national parks and so it is not all tall buildings and shopping. Well located in Asia. The only drawback is the size and the need to fly to get a break from the place but that is a small price to pay. We think it is great. I meet with biking friends early on Sunday mornings to beat the summer heat and the traffic and we ride through some parks, have breakfast near the Chinese boarder and do around 100 miles. I am planning some overseas trips when I hire a bike and do some touring. Regards to all.
 
Richard, shop manuals for our beasts are not inexpensive no matter where you might source one. If I'm right about the 2012/2013 model years being virtually identical mechanically, anyway, then the link I posted on the previous page may be a good bet for you!
 
Th manual arrived in Hong Kong by post within a week. Fantastic service and it looks great. Thanks again.
