Guys,

Got my new RamAir filter assembly in recently and this is what I received. A filter assembly for a Ford Fiesta..... Cough. I couldn't believe it.

Contacted RamAir and they quickly acknowledged a packaging issue and send me my new assembly for my Rocket within a week (not that I can do anything with it middle of January). They were very apologetic for the mistake.

The only issue with this is that the first filter came right through to my door with no charges for duty. The corrected order came through and cost me a duty charge of $30. Sometimes you can't win.

Does anybody want a filter assembly for a Ford Fiesta for $30 bucks? RamAir don't want it back.

Fortunately here in the States there isn't a U.S. Customs fee on imported actual motorcycle parts/accessories. That doesn't include helmets, clothing, boots, etc. A couple months ago I received my Ramair and a separate order Givi V56 top case and there weren't any Custom fees.

Customs duty to enter Canada or UK 19% VAT which should have been removed for an International order? If the latter have them refund it. I don't understand why you had to pay again anyway as the first one was already paid for as a R3 RamAir filter wasn't it?

As per an earlier post is there Canadian Customs duty on motorcycle parts BUT not car parts?

The duty was charged by Canadian Customs on the corrected order (2nd one). The first order which was incorrect came through with no duty which sometimes happens (luck). If the order had been packaged right by RamAir the first time I would have been up $30 bucks. Now I'm up a filter for a Ford Fiesta.......

RamAir did not charge any VAT by the way.
