My tire guy wipes the tires with Acetone to get rid of the mold release (Silicone) and tell me to take it easy for the first 10 km and it has worked so far.
Brakeclean is a good idea, but it does not work as good as the old breakclean! The new break clean is reformulated to be less toxic and environmentally friendly!
Berkebile 2+2 gum cutter carb cleaner works better than brakeclean now!
All great ideas although I just find a section of residential area with little traffic or a large parking lot and do a slalom course. I start out slow with minimal leaning and end up at around 30 mph with peg to peg leaning hard. I spend around 40 minutes just practicing slow turns and U turns leaning hard. Seems to work for me anyway. On a side note I always drop the PSI to around 38 on the rear to 36 on the front for this purpose only and then put more air in when I'm done. The dealers always put the air pressure at the recommended settings which is too high for me at 42/42 and a little dangerous for brand new tires that need to be scrubbed. Cheers.
