New R3 2009 Standard Owner

Just got a great deal on a brand new 2009 Rocket III and have a whopping 75 miles on it.

I AM IN LOVE!

Wonderful experience, but almost ended on the pavement on my A$$ when I drove out of the dealers after gooseing it in 2nd. Holy Sh1t!!! These things have a bit of torque.

Anyway, name is Ray Collins and I live on the west coast of Florida. First "mod" is two orange stripes on a black bike sort of a super V-Rod look to match my helmet.

Great forum, I have been reading for a good bit and you guys were the reason I went to the bike--THANK YOU!!!

Ah yes, what you describe is well documented throughout Triumph motorycle forums.

Symptoms:

- Takes delivery of new Rocket
- Takes initial ride
- Arrives home with mud butt

Scientists are working on a cure, but in the mean time...

- Sneak into house
- Make mad dash to bedroom to retrieve fresh pair of unmentionables
- Make mad dash to laundry room
- Remove exterior clothing
- Remove soiled unmentionables
- soak soiled unmentionables with a bit of stain lifter
- Wash in cold water
- Repeat if necessary
- Give ass a thorough washing with warm, soapy water
- Rinse & dry
- Powder (baby powder works best) to prevent chaffing
- Install a new pair of unmentionables
- Return to living room to greet wife as if nothing ever happened
