New owner of two 2005's

You say the second one shifts a little harder. I'd look into whether the first one has had the update kit installed as my '05 definitely has a lighter and smoother shift since it got the kit. If it has I'd keep the first one. Oh! And welcome too.

keep them both you can never have to many bikes welcome from Indiana

Shifting update kit and welcomes

I'll have to find out how to do that. And thanks to everyone for all the welcomes!

Welcome from Michigan Steve. If your local dealer is halfway decent they can run the engine serial number (on the right side of the engine towards the back, down low). They can tell from that if it's had the upgrade or not. The "upgrade" is an unusual animal in that Triumph generally denies it's existence. As long as you don't make it sound like your trying to get an upgrade, they will probably work with you. My local dealer did.

congratulations big guy and welcome! I have a 2005 R3 with 2,700mls like show room cond also I have the front and rear dresser bars and the extra triumph clock and fuel gauges I am yet to put her on the street but have ridden around the storage area where I keep her I still need to get it registered due to money issues but anyhow, what do you think about counter steering this massive bike and do you have any issues with handling around tight slow turns, I will show pics soon, again all the best and "Be Safe"

That's because there is no upgrade kit P_l_ck Now update kit well different animal. People like Bob Carpenter and Neville Lush they make upgrade kits for the Rocket
