New boy in the class.

We're in the same boat...picking up mine tomorrow. Planning cat removal, already has TORS exhaust, install K&H intake, defeat the low-gear governor, etc. Good luck with your monster!

Welcome from Scotland.Got the same year an model as you

Hello Fester and welcome from the Great White North....... Glad you purchased one of the finest motorcycles out there. Now there's this thing about dues.....since you waited soooooo long to purchase a rocket......and the intentions appear to have been there for some time.....you owe us some moola in the form of back dues. It has to be paid through a third party.....moi.;) Call me about the amount. We Canuks give big discounts on dues paid in gold.:whitstling:

Oh, btw, watch out for the counterfeit dues collectors, usually from down under. They can be very persuasive! :)

Glad to have you on the site. Post some pics of the new ride soon and have fun!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, I like the blood & bone description & yes I am a fan of black, but I'm possibly going to attemp olive drab & satin black. Currently searching for another set of panels to paint!

Honestly the blood and bone paint is 'the' best option Triumph offered .. in my humble opinion . New tins be the way to go ... so who's coming to the rescue of the b & b paintjob .. f#ck saving the baby harp seals this is serious :D

Interesting that it is blood and bone as all indications are that it's actually a Standard - which were all single colour (not counting the tribal scheme). The pegs instead of boards, 2 piece seat instead of the dual, no chrome rocker cover and the bars don't look like they're off a Classic. Even the exhaust tips, while similar to those on a Classic, don't really look like they actually are Classic tips. Looks like someone may have done a tin swap already. Have a close look at the gold pinstripes between the red and white. Do they look hand painted and can can you find the place under the tank where the "artist" signed off on his work? Not that it matters at all. Just curious.
