Need some luck

My brother and I were out shooting on our property about 40 years a go ,didn't find much to shoot that day, walking back home we starting fooling around .i thought I would shoot him in the arse but I missed he turned around fired from the hip and shot me in the face .blood squirted out of a little hole in my face.we both were crapping our selves ,what were our parents going to say .we both decided that the slug had ricochet of a Rock. When the doctor removed the slug from my face he handed me perfectly formed diabolo slug and looked at me and said this was no ricochet .by the time I had left the doctors surgery and returned to my mother in the waiting room I had crushed the slug between my teeth and handed her a very mangled slug ,never heard another word about that

Shooting trips as a teenager were a life and death adventure , that's for sure. Unless the wildlife were jumping up in front of you it was always your mates that became the target ..very lucky to have survived them days.

You Aussies sure know how to have fun

On the other hand, maybe disarming you guys wasn't a bad idea

I have the same problem, they traced it to a pinched nerve in the lower back (L2) , my arm is also numb and tingly, been like that for years, last year i spent a bunch of money on MRIs and research with different specialists, the veredict is that i may have to live with it for the rest of my life because they say it is not bad enough to operate. Opreation is always the last resort they told me. Hope your luck is better than mine

True enough in my case ... i'm one of those people that should never be allowed to possess a firearm, no arguement about that. Way too short a fuse i'm afraid.

TC

I had that same issue in my younger yrs. But 7 + yrs in the military took a lot of that out of me, getting older to.

But this past Friday if I had not been carrying a gun I would not have thought about it and would have chased that A** hole down an cussed his A** out.

In high school if I did not get into fist fights twice a month ...something was wrong..LOL Nose broken 3 times, can't remember how many stiches and staples in my eyesbrow, the whites of my eye blood red and accorted broken bones in my hands...from hard heads.

In the late 60's knives started showing up at the fist fights and by the early to mid 70's guns started showing up......So much for the Good Ol Days

I've mellowed ( think that's the term ) as i've got older , no doubt about that. But given the wrong circumstances ... nah , better i leave the firearms alone as the Magistrates suggested ... well actually insisted

I too shot my little brother.....
I had a Russian made air rifle .178 cal, the butt of the rile was missing making it hard to aim.
I remember my brother 5 years younger than me (I was 14) standing behind the fly screen door wearing only a pair of shorts. I thought I would scare him by putting in a shot thinking it would bounce off the flimsy mesh....wrong.... I took the shoot and sh!t myself when he reached for his chest........ I was amassed I actually got him, and the blood!!!! I managed to dig the slug out from his chest and patch him up, then I took him through the explanation as to why he had an injury to his chest when mum asked........ But she knew better as I also have 3 older brothers (5boys) she had seen the oldest too after they got into a gun fight (air rifle)

A friend of mine had his eye shot out by his brother.
