NEED HELP ASAP, PORFAVOR!

So.... I am Not the only fat boy here.

If you can forget that you are fat.....then you are not fat......LOL

I am reminded dozens of times a day I am Fat.

Every time I have to P, to tie my shoes, put on an old pair of jeans, pick anything off the floor and that is just a few.

Yes.....A missing spacer could cause issues. Did you brake down the old set of bearings to see what caused the failure?

Just throwing ideas out here you did tighten the rear nut to the correct torque setting? hope all turns out okay and you make it to SoCal and if you see my wife please tell her I am starving.

if you are anything like the rest of our family it can only do you good!!

Glad to see you got it fixed! There are quite a few bearing supply houses to support all kinds of industrial applications and what surprises me, is that for almost any bearing there are different grades ( referred to as ABEC ratings ) and the cost difference, in my opinion is negligible. Like a standard JEM bearing that is $15 can be bought in ABEC 7 for $25.
So, how does it make sense for Triumph to put crap bearings in a bike that retails for 15K? Anyway, glad you got her done, enjoy your trip!
We never had any bearing problems with the modded bikes so the fact that your bike has been eating bearings leads me to believe that it is a problem with your bike only are the bearings being installed correctly ?

I agree with you on this, it sounds very much a housing issue. Those are very common bearings and you can get them anywhere.
I also will tell you that Triumph does not make bearings, they get them with their OEM # if they buy enough bearings.

If any of the machined housing parts were miss aligned during machining it would cause a load issue when the bearing is torqued to the 81 ft. lbs.

Bull if you have the time carefully cut the cage and inspect each roller. One of the bearing rollers should signs of failure and if you happen to have another set of the old bearings laying around check those too. They should show you which part of the housing is off.

Also another way is look very closely at the bearings with a magnifier glass and see if there is a bearing manufacture shown on the inter race, if it is you can send them to the manufacture and they will be able to tell you what caused the failure.

Thank you everybody for your input. I have learned a lot.
I down in CA at Jim's place right now and have put a thousand miles on so far and everything seems to be working just fine.
Shall be heading down to see @DEcosse in the morning and we'll likely hash some of this out as well.
Again thanks everybody!
