Installed a Direzza DZ101 255/55R/16 a couple of days ago.
Now 100 miles later here is what I think.
The bike runs a lot smoother, all the little bumbs you would feel with the metz or avon(I have had both) are gone.
Traction on the road feels a lot better, rear braking is improved 100% I went to a empty parking lot cruised along at 40mph and slammed the rear brake only on and the rear wheel never locked up.
Takes about five miles to get used to the different feel nothing to write a lot about but not a great deal of difference.
I have not tried it on any tight bends yet(I live in Florida) but we do have a few so I will report when I do.

That's a nice meat. Let's hear some more feedback as you gain further experience with it, please! I looked that Dunnie up and found this tread style, Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec , which has more appeal to me, but alas they don't make it in the closer to OEM sized 225/55 16 that I plan to go with and it's UTQG rating indicates that it's a pretty soft compound. Looks like I'll be putting on Toyo's Proxes T1R when the time comes. 16 Inch Toyo Proxes T1R Tires - Tire Size & Price Details - 1010tires.com

David,
Looks a little tight on the edge!! It would seem that the rounded edge like the ventus 11 would work a little better. I am just about to mount a lopdun Sport 7000 in a 185/55/16 on my ride. Always liked and used car tires on my bikes. That red is still the best color on any rocket 111 imo. Have to get used to the slow speed V shaped cuts in the road. Have to tilt the tire into one side of the grove. Lots of rockets at bike week!!

Dave, where did you get it mounted? Does an amputee ride on the back?

Cool. Still can't quite bring myself to going dark, I guess I am a bit of a purist. But in a straight line the contact patch has to be way wider than a standard Metz - today I scared myself ****less when I was speeding along a 3 lane quiet'ish one way street in St Pete at 11am - saw a red light up ahead, but misjudged things (only have 1 feckin eye), I was looking at the red light IN FRONT of the one I shd have stopped at, muscle memory hit the rear brake before I could even react and press the fronts, massive slight sideways skid at rear which I released after half a second, no way I could stop in time, total blithering idiot, took in peripherally as best I could and thank f&&&l nothing crossing, doing by now 40 in a 45 - went straight through the cross section with my tail between my legs. First time I have run a red light in my whole life.:confused::confused::eek::eek::eek:
