Really like the black treatments; sets off the colour beautifully. I've also considered drilling holes in the b/c but leaning towards cutting. Will be interested to see yours if/when you do it.

they look good but I have no ideas as to the ride.

If they keep your butt from bouncing out of the seat and don't bottom out riding 2-up with luggage, they have done the job.
I originally ordered the 440's in regular duty, they bottomed out with 2 over bumps. I loved the preload adjuster for the springs, much better than the cam style. Summit Racing let me return them for the 418's in Heavy Duty. The notch style preload adjust isn't as nice as the 440's but having the adjustable damping is a plus, I really like being able to adjust that.
Closer to some other members in Townsville and Brisbane but you should try to pop on down anyway. I'm sure you'll be missing your ride and I'd be happy to let you throw your leg over my old girl - um, the bike that is......
Canberra's a beautiful place and lots of good rides around. I live literally 600metres from the Prime Minister and about 2km from Parliament House and Government House and would be happy to show you round.
