Motorcycle driver's test

Got mine in 73 the day after I turned 15, on a Honda 90, cop stood in the carpark, told me to ride 100 meters up the road, turn around and come back...................... Hate to say I was a lot harder on the applicants once I was the cop doing the testing a few years later

Got mine the first time in 1982 on my 18th birthday. Took the test on a Honda CB 360. When I moved to Missouri many years later, I didn't Missouri forgetting to put the motorcycle endorsement on my new license until it was too late. Took the test the 2nd time on a HD Wide Glide.

I grew up in the country/bush I rode for years in my youth with no bike license,we all did back then. When my wife bought her bike, and forced me to buy one as well (I resisted to make it seen like it was her idea), I took the Ottawa safety council course. Here we have a graduated license M1,M2,M. So I write my M1, bought my R3T. They have a M1 exit course, takes a weekend, they are very thorough, go through everything in a closed course,on THEIR bikes. So I pulled up on a 2300cc bike, got off,and did the weekend on a 250cc bike, slight difference. They do all the testing and afterwards you can go get the M2 with their paperwork. I certainly didn't regret taking the course,I believe ANYONE who wants to ride should be taking these courses. I will do my M2 exit with them as well, but that is all with your own bike. I have been told it's mostly street riding with the instructors and earpeices,I will.take that course as well, they are skilled instructors with a sound program, I am not arrogant enough to know that they have knowledge to make me a better rider.

Well i can tell you the only way a Rocket could do the U turn here in the space allowed for the license test would be if you smoked the rear and had it turn around the front wheel. The bike is physically too big for the course no matter how much you lean it over. Trust me, I tried when Amanda was practicing for hers. She could just get round on the America but it was bloody tight so she did the actual test on a GS500 in the end; perfect bike for that.

I'm quite prepared to travel to Australia and take the test for you if your finding it difficult :whitstling:
